Life Before Ambit

Tell us a little about your professional life or career path before Ambit?

Before Ambit and to date, I am a branch manager for Airgas USA in Dilley, Texas. I’ve been with the company going on   ten years. When I started my Ambit journey, I was also a wellness coach for Weight Watchers part time for a couple   of years until they closed our Laredo, Texas meetings giving me more time to do my Ambit Business.

Please share key highlights of your personal background or challenges faced on your path to becoming an Executive Consultant.

My family. I’m happily married living in Dilley away from my hometown of Laredo where my parents and four of my siblings reside, with a fifth living in San Antonio. In one way or another, my entire family has supported my Ambit business and journey, whether it was being one of my Consultants, Customers or both.

Living in the small town of Dilley, where half the town is regulated by a COOP has not been an obstacle for me to do my business. In fact, it has empowered me in the sense that I use myself as an example when people tell me they live in a regulated area and they can’t do the business for that reason, my response has always been that you don’t have to be in a deregulated area to do your business.

One of the challenges I had this year was my foot surgery. However, that never kept me from continuing to build my business. In fact, I helped my last two Senior Consultants reach their rank during this time along with several RCs. Anything is possible when you really want it.

What fortunate circumstances led to your decision to become an Ambit Energy Independent Consultant?

My sister’s persistence. Executive Consultant Maria Elena Hernandez for NINE YEARS asked me to join her team and I had every excuse you can imagine. Although I supported her business soon after she became a Consultant by being one of her first Customers, becoming a Consultant myself was not something I wanted to do. Then May 4th, 2021, and after asking me to please do her the favor of joining her team, I told her I would. I became a Fast Track Regional Consultant in 26 days and then a Fast Track Senior Consultant in 79 days.

Discovering the Opportunity and Finding your WHY

How did you hear about the Ambit Opportunity?

My sister, Executive Consultant Maria Elena Hernandez.

What impressed you most?

After I joined, seeing that I could help others save and earn and knowing that I started generating a weekly and monthly income doing what I loved, helping others.

What was your initial impression of the Ambit Opportunity?

Although I knew my sister had been doing it for nine years and she was successful at it, I just wasn’t interested in doing it myself. I immediately saw that I could make extra money doing what I love while helping others.

Starting as a Consultant, what were your expectations?

I really didn’t have any expectations at first. I knew that I would get my Customers, get paid and that was it. She got me when she said, “If you promote to Regional Consultant, they’ll give you a pin, but if you Fast-Track, they give you the wings, too.” She told me the same thing about my Senior pin which helped me want to Fast-Track to that rank, too.

In what ways have you met or exceeded them?

Fast-Tracked to Regional Consultant, Fast-Tracked to Senior Consultant and got my Free Energy. And in 2022, I was awarded Senior Dream Team member.

What is your “Why” that keeps you focused and motivated the most?

Helping others whether it be my team or crossline teams, and my Customers. I want to help everyone I run into with the Opportunity!

Has your “Why” changed or evolved as your Ambit business has grown?

It’s made me want to help even more people with the Ambit Opportunity and help them excel.

Working Your Business

What did your family/friends think when you shared your decision to join Ambit and what do they think now?

Having an Executive Consultant in the business as my sponsor, I’m sure they knew I was in good hands. I had other family members join and rank up because they know this business works if you work it. I know my parents, husband and family were extremely proud of my promotion especially my persistent sister, EC Maria Elena Hernández.

What challenges have you faced in growing your business and how did you overcome them?

Negative nay sayers tried but never did anything to hinder my business. Proven leadership and success helped me overcome them.

Looking back, is there anything you wish you’d done differently?

Duplication! The company pays us to do two simple things: gather a handful of Customers and teach others to do the same. Perhaps getting most or all my Consultants in both my RC and SC is something I would have done differently.

Results

What are some of your biggest and proudest accomplishments you’ve achieved because of Ambit?

Getting to Fast-Track Regional, Fast-Track Senior, Senior Dream Team, being a mentor to others and holding business presentations and trainings for others.

How has this changed your outlook for the future?

You want to teach them to duplicate what you did for them. Help others the way you helped them. Strategize and set small goals to accomplish bigger goals. And, when you reach your goals, set other goals. Show the plan, and encourage others to never EVER give up.

Has your experience with Ambit revealed any hidden strengths or surprising talents?

Getting comments like, “I’ve been following you on Facebook” or “Girl, you’re really moving.” Knowing that others see our commitment to the company and our teams is inspiring.

How has your Ambit experience reinforced those strengths or talents?

Meeting other people in the business. Learning from each other. Building relationships with Customers and converting them to Consultants.

How have you helped your team members (and any other Consultants) to meet their potential?

By supporting them, attending business presentations, being available for three-way calls, attending in-person validations, one-on-ones and offering whatever help they need from me.

What was your “Aha” moment—the time or event you realized that your Ambit business was truly making a difference in your life?

When I had National Consultants and Millionaire Club members asking me to join and share on their calls. To know that others see the value I bring. Becoming an Executive Consultant and being congratulated by so many for this great achievement made me look back at how many lives have been impacted by this amazing opportunity.

Looking Forward

What new goals have you set for yourself to take your business to the next level?

Continue to help my team promote to the next rank and start and grow new teams. Show the plan, and SHARE THE PLAN.

How do you plan to reach NC and what are you doing differently to become an NC (i.e. visiting new markets, starting new meetings, facilitating trainings etc)?

I’ve been cohosting our Terrific Tuesday call since early this year bringing a motivational guest speaker every week and doing our BP. I also started Grow Your Business with a Saturday training Zoom calls for new or returning Consultants.

What advice do you have for new Consultants?

Never give up! Keep going! For every no, it’s a next!

What is the one thing you wish you’d known as a new Consultant?

This opportunity is for everyone but not everyone will take advantage of it.

What do you see for yourself in your future, personally and professionally?

Living the life of my dreams helping others be successful.
